Texarkana, TX native Anthony Price is an up-and-coming Texas Country music artist whose passion for traditional country music was shaped by his family, upbringing, and local community. His journey began at age 11 when his mother signed him up for drum lessons, sparking an interest in music. However, it wasn’t until his grandfather introduced him to classic country that Anthony’s true passion emerged.
Anthony’s grandfather, a musician with over 50 years of experience, became his first mentor, introducing him to the works of Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and other country legends. After the pandemic, Anthony started performing at Texarkana’s local venue, Over 30s Club, where his traditional sound quickly resonated. This helped revive the local venue, leading to Anthony’s reputation growing.
His dedication to traditional country music has led to major milestones. In 2023, Anthony competed in the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame John Ritter Tribute Showcase, earning 2nd runner-up with his performance of George Strait’s "Unwound". That same year, he was awarded the prestigious 2024 Artist Scholarship by the Texas Country Music Association at Billy Bob's Texas, recognizing his talent and commitment to the genre. In 2025, Anthony was nominated for Young Artist of the Year with the Texas Country Music Association and the Texas Pura Vida Awards.
Anthony’s music bridges the timeless appeal of traditional country with a modern edge. His debut single, "Honky Tonk Neon," released in December 2023, received airplay across states like Texas, Missouri, and New York. His third single, "A Memory I Can't Drown," has extended his reach internationally, with airplay in Canada and the UK. Anthony's third single, “Trying to Make a Name,” has received airplay all across Texas. It has charted on five different Texas charts and #15 on the TIRC- AM Official Americana National Chart! His fifth and newest single “Pretty FAce” is currently out to texas country radio and charting on four charts. Known for crafting vivid stories in his lyrics, Anthony writes from both imagined scenarios and personal experiences, ensuring that his songs resonate deeply with listeners.
